(no subject)
I interrupt my half-written post with an amusing (in a horrible way) update.
I had a friend who was planning on calling in between bookings (she's helping out for the Fringe Festival) this evening. She hasn't been here before and had a problem getting into the door below.
I opened the kitchen window but didn't see her and then opened the front door to run down the stairs and let her in.. and the door swung closed behind me.
Oh <>!!
I've had terrible terrible thoughts about what would happen if we managed to lock ourselves out. How much would a locksmith cost? I found out when I rang up to enquire. £180+.
oh £$%^.
This is the weekend Ade has gone to Aberdeen as well to stay with a friend.
Fun.
I remembered that my letting company had the number of a locksmith on their answering machine so I got that number and rang them to find out. They quoted £55 and an hour and a half later I'm back in my apartment.
Well by the time we got back into my apartment and I had paid the guy (had to run down the road to and ATM) my friend had about 15 minutes till she had to leave again!
We had a nice chat though - locked outside my apartment...
