Epic Girlfriend
I am using the last of my cell power and the last of my minutes of cell plan time for two months to tell you how awesome my girlfriend is.
After we went our separate ways after breakfast, her to go home, me to the recruiter to ship out (tomorrow is first day of boot camp WOOT!), I had left something rather important in her car. I didn't realize it until late in the afternoon, when I was already at Fort Hamilton, that I did not have my passport and social security card. It would have been better to have forgotten EVERYTHING else (except my ID and debit card) than forget that. Without it... Well, I'd be going nowhere. I text messaged her desperately, but we couldn't get ahold of each other until 4:30.
I'll cut to the chase. With no notice, she dropped everything, including skipping one of her paralegal classes, going out in SERIOUSLY torrential rain, taking a train for an hour to get in to Penn Station and bring to me that which meant so much. Best. Girlfriend. Ever. My hero, my saviour, my angel.
And with that, I will see you all in two months!
