Last week, I posted about having read an admittedly not-very-good biography of Cary Grant, and was all hyped up over the author's suggestion that he was bi, and... Well, I've deleted that post. For one thing, I was curious to see what other readers thought of that particular biography; I cracked up (and winced) when multiple reviews likened it to fanfiction - the kind with a Marty-Stu. Yeah, I thought so, too. Just the way his chin was described gave me the creeps, and if you've read the book, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
So, okay, I've learned my lesson, and have picked up a few more biographies on the guy. Good, well-written ones that were positively reviewed. And I'm starting to watch more of his movies, because before I read that first book, I'd only seen two of them: Bringing Up Baby (years ago, I barely remember it), and The Philadelphia Story (which I adore). Since then, I've watched Arsenic & Old Lace, and loved it.
Which brings me to the subject of this post: what other Cary Grant movies should I watch, and why?
