Hello, South Park!
We hope everyone is doing well out there, and here is the relevant information in this issue of the Gazette;
► Congratulations to all members of the South Park Cows football team on their homecoming victory on last Friday afternoon, and also to this year's South Park County High School's homecoming court! King, Queen, Princes, and Princesses, you did fantastic. Professional photograph copies will be available for purchase in the main office by Tuesday afternoon. Each court member will receive one free copy of their shoot, and each additional package is $10, and larger prints vary in price. Please speak to the secretary regarding this matter.
► Midterms are complete, and marks will be returned to students by the first week of December. Any further inquiries can be brought to the attention of individual instructors.
► Congratulations to the South Park County High School Cowgirls Cheerleaders for receiving the third place position at State Championship in Denver.
► On Tuesday, November 23rd, the Cowgirls Cheerleaders & the South Park County High School Student Council will be combining forces to bring the first annual Thanksgiving food drive & bake sale. It will be held from 8am until first period, during lunch period, and from 3pm until 5pm, in the high school's main lobby. Students are asked to think of the less fortunate members of our community in this holiday season, and bring non-perishable and canned food items to donate to our cause. All proceeds will be given to the local South Park Soup Kitchen. There will also be a variety of baked goods, homemade candies, and sweets for sale. All proceeds from sale will also be given to the South Park Soup Kitchen, in order to help pay for this year's charity Thanksgiving dinner.
► Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 26, 2009. South Park County schools will be receiving three days off for this holiday; the 25th, 26th, and 27th. That makes a five day weekend! Lots of time to enjoy [and recover from] Black Friday.
► The majority of H1N1 cases in Park County have cleared up drastically. Residents are cautioned to continue proper hand washing, use proper coughing methods, and help prevent a second severe outbreak of the illness.
► This Sunday [November 22nd] was the anniversary of the assassination of President John F Kennedy. Students at South Park elementary provided a very touching presentation on this very tragic event in American history.
► The South Park County High School Theatre Club will be holding auditions for the rock opera RENT. All interested actors and actresses can report to the campus auditorium on December 2nd & 3rd to try out.

► Weather this week brings a lot of overcast days. Lots of clouds, and very little precipitation. Thanksgiving day [Thursday] will be our warmest day of the week. We're going to see lows of -3°C [26°F], and highs of 13°C [55°F].
