so yesterday i went along with r to
this 5-hour-long experiential concert performed by charlemagne palestine at st giles church in london.
i realised a few things:
1. i fidget and i fidget soooo much + my concentration span is near zero when i am not in a comfortable posture (but those wooden church benches are really dead hard and narrow for my bum!)
2. organ is an amazing instrument, it's literally driven by the force of nature - air - it's a living being
3. despite the musician's manipulation, once it's up and running an organ has a life of its own, it gives more than you expect
4. churches are cold especially when you sit there from 4pm to 9pm!
5. i cannot relax no matter how much i'd like to and no matter how 'trancy' the music is....
