He opened his hand and stared.

"It's a seed," she said.

He frowned. "Flowers don't in snow."

Leaf rolled her eyes once at him. "It's a Bulbasaur seed."

He stared back down at his hand. Her mittens pressed his fingers until they closed over it. The seed was warm in his hand.

"You might be surprised how resilient flowers are."

I've been looking for red/leaf fanfic, so I was delighted to stumble upon this. Even though the ending was quite sad LOL. I really liked the beginning of this piece, it slipped in to Red's thoughts quite fluidly. Great piece, hope you write more of these 2 in the future ;)
