Friday (continued...)

continued shopping around Bromley for presents. Were fairly unsuccessful, quite frankly, my sister met us for a bit towards the end but she was rude and annoying so wasn't exactly a pleasant exchange. Drove us back to the parents house and we had dinner round there...Mum got drunk, I put on my old East17 records (anyone else up for petitioning a reunion for those bad boys?)

talked about going out to the apartment for summer, christmas, lots of things. Had coffee watching jonathon ross and then drove home....singing East17 of course.

Saturday

Andy had work in the morning so he gave me his car and off I went shopping in Maidstone. Got a few more prezzies. But whilst I was rampaging the high-street some utter cunt went in my handbag and half-inched my phone.

such an inconvenience. Spent the rest of the afternoon at the Hilton bar phoning around o2 and my father to sort stuff out. The nice people at o2 sorted things out though and infact, since then, apart from a few circumstances, i've quite enjoyed being without a phone...nice to be invisible for 5 or 6 days especially when it was an Andy and Becky weekend.

We had to even go to the policestation to get an insurance code. Exciting. Well actually not, but not our usual antics anyway. After that we went for a drive and ended up at a little traditional pub and I had a glass of mulled wine. Mulled wine is gorgeous. I find it so so yummy.

On the way home we got nibbles and a bottle of cheap wine and stayed in that night and watched Constantine. I fell asleep during it...again. I'm such an old lady.

Sunday

we got up fairly early, said our goodbyes and started our roadtrip to Exeter. we talked, sang, stopped for hot chocolate (i got in quite a pickle with the service station hot-chocolate dispensing machine). eventually got to mine after the shops had shut and we had no food so had to get takeaway pizza. I hate takeaway pizza. But mine was okay I guess, because I got 50% off and because it had onions and olives on. Slurp.

Monday

Had to get up soooooooo early. 7am. Dear god, it was awful. And did I moan. Heh. Met Neesie at college and observed a few classes (classics and english) felt welcome and interested. Was a top notch day and Neesie even took me out for lunch at Juice Moose. I had tofu satay and carrot on sodabread. Slurp. Came home to my baby who had a cup of tea ready for me when I walked in like a proper house husband. Bless him. So so lovely. We went to the supermarket and stocked up. We are an awesome couple. End of. Cooked steak and veg for dinner and watched space cadets etc. Space cadets is AWESOME. one big lie. excellent.

Tuesday

had more teacher training, mainly observation. Saw one awful awful class led by a student teacher. I'm not even doing my PGCE yet and I know I can do so much better than that. I really think I could do a much better job than a lot of the teachers i've seen this week. And as I was saying to Izzi yesterday, it's so nice to feel that you can actually be capable of something sometimes....I think university makes you feel like a bit of a no-hopequite often. Met Grandad for christmas lunch at Harlequins, we had christmas crackers and everything. In the evening we went to Henrys and drank and played pool. I am awful at that.

We ended up getting tipsy and giggly on empty stomachs, whiskeys and pool lessons. Pool is sexy I also discovered.

Wednesday

Had basically no teaching to do so met Andy in town and he treated me to a fabulous lunch at the swanky blue fish. I'm sure we were too loud and raucous for the majority of yuppies and jewelled up old ladies...but pft. We both ordered the wrong thing and ended up eating eachothers food which we far prefered. How cute.

We christmas shopped a bit more - got all my cards (the best part of christmas shopping methinks) and got my parents a new hamster cage to go with the hamster we're getting them. Amazing.

We got back home and realised money needed putting on the gas meter so we walked down to the nearest gas place. On the way back I noticed a sign in the bookies saying Free £10 Bet. So we rather timidly went in for a giggle to this smutty smokey establishment and ended up getting free £10 each to put on any event. We ended up betting on the x-factor result (nice and straightforward!). Acemazing.

Spent the rest of the evening in, cuddled up on the sofa.Superoib.

Thursday

Managed to wangle only three hours of teacher training (i still get my £40 for that day though, bwahaha). Came home for the last night in with Andy. We had stirfry and watched Eastenders and Space cadets. Eastenders storyline is brillo pads at the moment. Was sad when Andy had to leave at 10 :( it was alright until 20 minutes of being alone in the house...and then it got sad. And rubbish. I watched indecent proposal to take my mind of it. Which was rubbish. And waited up for him to msn me saying he'd gotten home safely (being void of a mobile phone) I bizarrely don't remember much of the conversation I was that sleepy. Had a really fitful nights sleep too - strange being all alone again after a whole week. Rubbish.

Today

Only had one lesson to observe. Which was R.E with an irish teacher. One pupil, a boy called Tim, a deeply religious individual who has his heart set on being a Catholic priest, doesn't believe in evolution and was just so on the ball about pretty much everything intellectual and utterly hopeless at things like cocacola and simple party games. Such a wonderful boy, I don't know what it was about him but something about him really touched me. He was so keen to talk to me. If i decide to go into teaching, I really sincerely hope I get the chance to meet students like him. What a star.

On the way home I got some bits from sainsburys for my lonesome weekend. And also got Andys christmas present which turned out a million times better than  i'd planned. Wicked.

And that's pretty much all that has been going on. Finally feeling a little festive...can't wait to get home and submerge myself in various festivities. It's gonna be a smashing year...I know it :D
