(no subject)

I wrote a sonnet.

It's a Shakespearean sonnet. The turn comes in line 9. But I used a more contemporary rhyme scheme.

I call it "Stop that Buzzing!"

Busy, busy, little bees now, you dive
And flutter and mutter to the hive---
Montony and solidarity
Define your hurry about fruitless trees;
The sky is blue and ripe for you but none
Cease flight to notice; no work is undone.
Hover a moment, buzzers to the grave.
But oh! I swat at you, who do not have
A moment to spare for me. You who lie,
Ignoring wonders I gave for your eye.
This incessant and continuing buzz
Is only a mask, a blinder, a fuzz
Before your winged, dreary little way.
Calm your beesiness. Stop. Enjoy today.

I was looking at my window when I wrote this.  I saw people hurrying about, not considering the beautiful nature God has created for us.  I'm not sure who the speaker is.  It could be God, but it could also be people like me, who want to say, "Slow down! Take a break, people."

I hope you like it.
