Wow, I’m back from one of the most amazing weeks that I have had in a very long time. To say it was awakening and transformative is to only scratch the surface. I talked about it in this
post along with the thought about In September the Light Changes. Well, I can honestly say for a brief while in September more than the light changes.
Because, my journal wouldn’t be mine without the doing it by the numbers...here it is.
1) The land was amazing. Leaving Columbus and driving through the Ohio countryside I began to relax and move into the new space. When I finally drove us onto Wisteria land there was this transformation and relaxation and a calling in my soul.
2) Note to Self: At your first ever festival...spend more time alone away from the people or sitting around Grey who is a walking energy sink. Also, Leo that you are ask for the help when you need it.
3) The energy of the place was amazing. The people were caring and loving and funny and welcoming. My introvert self did not immediately feel the need to run and hide and be away from the people.
4)
Otherworld Apothecary . I was blessed with meeting and friending Doug and Joe. What an amazing couple of men. They taught me new things and made me remember old things that I was taught long ago. They gave me new tools and new experiences that I am sure will continue to impact my life and my practice. Oh and they make really, really good stuff too. Every Feri and Pagan I work with is going to know about their oils, waters and incense.
5) Christopher and Steven. Wish fulfillment is the easiest word for that one. What a pleasure. They impacted me in a simple one-on-one conversation in a way they will never know. But it is something that has caused me to move forward.
6) Music and chants. The musical guest Jeffrey Altergott was amazing and sang to my soul in many ways. There were a number of chants that really spoke to me also but I can’t seem to remember all of the words. Just the feelings that are associated with them.
7) Workshops. Informative. Well Done. And I didn’t get to go to as many as I wanted because that’s the way it happens some times.
8) There is no 8.
9) Grey. Heart.
10) Brotherhood. An amazing amount of brotherhood and camaraderie. It was inspirational and meaning full. And...
11) Leon and Jeremy...you brought my heart and held it well, my gratitude knows know bounds. Happy Birthday to my Warrior.
12) Remembering that just because you knew it doesn’t mean you know it, and just because it was doesn’t mean it is.
13) There are many things that this is impacting, will continue to impact and I can only say thank you to my many new brothers. The work continues and will continue in my life and my practice.
14) I will be back next year. I managed to win the grand prize raffle and get my way paid for.
I know I sound like I drank the Kool-Aid. But in a way I did. These are my words to remind myself of the work, it will and won’t make sense to many.
Also, I was gone a week. I’ve been skimming you my friends list but I may never get caught up. If I missed something, please direct me.
Talk like a Pirate Day...Aaargh.
Happy Birthday Lonespiritwolf2
