Doctor Who night

And for some thoughts on the grand finale.

Another mysterious Jenna Coleman character...

Playing "Don't Stop Me Now" in the background. Unfortunately, in at least one country where this episode is being played, that song is currently best known as the soundtrack to a highly annoying lottery advertisement...

"The Sisterhood of Karn has no business in this chamber. Or on this planet." "I'd heard the Doxctor has come home. One so loves the fireworks."

"Who the hell does he think he is?" "The man who won the Time War, sir."

"So you went back to your home town?" "Yes." "Glasgow." "... Space Glasgow." "And there was a gang who want to kill you."

"Lord President, with respect: get off his planet."

"On pain of death, no-one take a selfie."

"We're on Gallifrey. Death is Time Lord for 'man flu'."

"I was a completely different person then. Eccentric. A bit mad. Rude to people."

"Tell me what they did to you. Tell me what happened to the Doctor."

Trapped in the cloisters of the Matrix... and the music playing in the background carries definite echoes of "Hotel California".

"Hope is a terrible thing on the scaffold." ... Echoes of the Highwayman episode?

"Don't you trust me any more?" "No. Not when you're shouting."

"When a memory goes missing, you can tell what it was by the hole that it left."

I wonder how many people whose memories don't go back to the 1970s heard all this talk about the Matrix and thought Moffat had pinched the idea from a certain film...
