I'm halfway through this insanely busy week. School is over, but work just kicked into high gear. I have been all over this city, along with the rest of the comm team, running errands and putting the finishing touches on the corporate retreat this weekend. I still have yet to pick out centerpieces and cloth napkins for the big dinner night on Friday, so I have to get things done tomorrow. All of the little pieces are coming together and I can't wait for everyone to see the finished product-it's going to look awesome! Things are a little hectic, but I'm having fun!
I'm going to be really antsy all weekend, knowing he'll be here waiting for me. I love that I still get so giddy about seeing him after a more than a year together. Some people say the new excitement wears off between eight months and one year, but I think that's just bitter nonsense.
Life will be in fast forward until 2008. The next week or so will be consumed with a graduation festivities, various Christmas parties and family gatherings. After that, it's Christmas, our New Year's trip (eep!), he leaves and then back to school. Yesterday, I came to the sad realization that this is my last month-long, college winter break. In the "real world" I will probably have Christmas Eve through New Year's and that's it. Ugh. Gotta make this one count!
Tonight, I will be participating in the Northgate Olympics with Jana and the Old Army Gentlemen's Society. I have no clue what team I'm on, but go us!
