(no subject)

I need to invent at least 5 new words for busy. None of the ones I have ever heard can even stand next to the busy I have been and hold their head up.

All of my busy hasn't been awful. In fact some of it has been quite a lot of fun. *grilling with friends and family-fireworks-painting-playing with Kylor* but even in all the fun...we have been swamped.

My friend Kerri and her five (5, yes F-I-V-E) children came and spent the 4th and then today as well with us. I won't even tell you about the conjunctivitis that they brought along with them...I'll just leave it implied as it is and you can pray that no one in the house contracts it. I should own stock in Lysol.

We're just days away from actually moving into the addition. It seems as though it has been forever that we've worked on it. I know it hasn't been because of the scheduling but still. There is something so soothing about the large empty rooms though.

My uncle (the one that works for Halliburton in Iraq) sent me a one of those silly fwd e-mail things today and that really isn't very much like him..He's a pretty original idiot, but ever so much fun. Anyway...there was some cute stuff in this little note- So, I'm putting it here.

1. Birds of a feather flock together, and then they poop on your car.

2. There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time
to look for it. For example I am sitting here thinking how
nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

3. When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the
neighbour's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.

4. If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

5. Don't assume malice for what stupidity can explain.

6. A penny saved...is a government oversight.

7. The real art of conversation is not only to say the right
thing in the right place, but also to leave unsaid the wrong
thing at a tempting moment.

8. The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight,
because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.

10. He who hesitates is 9. The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.probably right.

11. If you think there is good in everybody, you haven't met everybody.

12. If you can smile when things go wrong,
you have someone in mind to blame....

13. The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when
he's really in trouble.

14. The mind is like a parachute;
it works much better when it's open.

15. The only difference between a rut and a grave..is the depth!

Regarding #13...I'm called by my middle name all of the time. Most of you know it, if you don't...It is Michelle. (so common, I know) Still, my first name is NOT common and if you don't know it...you'd most likely NEVER guess it...but seriously, when my Mom is mad at me to this very day, she will call me by my full name, and I KNOW that I am in for it.

I'm also going to promise myself even though I believe I am fairly good at #7 to get even better at it.

Oh...and I hate mosquitoes. Just so you know. Ants too. Wasps are not good either...okay, I suppose I'm not fond of biting insecty type things at all. Can the food chain seriously not maintain harmony without them in it yet? C'mon. someirishdude sorry about the bees...just goes to prove my point.

I called the gutter guy out today...and seriously...the prices of gutters have a bit more than doubled in just under 3 years. Do any of you know why this is? I'm going to blame...Ummm...Ashley Judd. I'm not sure why, but I'm sticking to it.

I had not realized how cute Amanda Peet was...why has no one told me? How did I miss it? Rest easy though, I know now.

I'm just really in love with Marc Chagall right now...It feels like how being in love should be. Floating through a dark blue sky. With a goat playing the violin. Yes, happiness isn't happiness without a violin-playing goat. No, really...the overlapping themes in Chagall's work have always really moved me, even as a child. There has been a renewal in my heart for his work and I'm not sure what brought it on but I'm enjoying it. Hey, James or Dave..you guys can make icons...I'd love a Chagall icon of Hommage a Apollinaire. Yeah, one of you artsy guys get on that for me.

Why am I not in the bed? Why? I have to wake up in just a very few hours and I've had like NO sleep since like Thursday night...What is wrong with me? I need to go to bed. Now.

And happiness was spread over all the lands....and the people rejoiced. Good night everyone. Dream sweetly and sleep soundly.

xoxo
