Yes... It has happened. It was yesterday. I'm on TV.
Mind you... I probably look so stupid because I have a tendancy to answer questions even though I wasn't asked... And I gesture, too.
So when the host asked Raquel how she learned the word "baekoppa!!" (I'm hungry!!) I think I put my hand to my ear as she answered, too.... (she said that she just listens to what other students say.)
It was quite cool.
The show is called Golden Bell. It's a show were 100 students from a school have answer 50 questions or something. Students who get the answer wrong are out of the game.
At one point teachers could do rope-skipping to revive students. XD
When I have time, I'll upload vids XD
(I know I keep promising vids... and pictures... it's just that I can't do it at school and when I'm home, I get the feeling that I'd hog the PC for too long...)
The teachers also danced and TWO BOYS STARTED BELLY DANCING!! Why didn't I get a vid of THAT!? XD
Now I really want a copy of that show.
Now... My few miseralble moments of glory, I mean... utter embarrasment:
"Why did you come to Korea"
.... I hate this question. I dread it. ...I'm living a lie, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
I mean, I really do NOT regret coming to Korea, it's truley wonderful and there's so much to see and...
unfortunately... Korea was not my first choice.
Those you know me know that I picked Korea because.... I couldn't go to Japan. the places were full... taken, by other fellow J-rock Otakus.
Now I can't say: "I came here because I couldn't go to Japan 8D"
It'd be stupid, horrible and unfair. Besides... Koreans (not everbody, but.....) hate Japan. I know that, you (now) know that.
What to do?? I pondered all night thinking what I would say... I hate lying...
I decided to say I was interested in ASIA and then just mention that I'd be the first to go to Korea from Germany.... Yeah.... That sounds good and I said that.
....Yeah.... I feel so bad when I'm asked that question... I'm sorry!!! ;_;x
After I was asked that question, I managed to give him a pin. Ein Meinzelmaennchen. (Which is/was a mascott vor the German TV program SAT 1) ^_^x
But I didn't have time to explain what it was, because he already moved on to Chris.
Now take Chris. He hates being on stage. He is also quite quiet and likes to keep to himself.
Every girl likes him... I mean, to the European / Western eye.. well he doesn't look bad... but here it's like he's Micky (from Dong Bang Shin Gi) himself.
So here's his question:
The girl translating wasn't that fluent in English, so I guess she just decided to ask "Do you love me?"
What a stupid question. We are embassador of our countries and he gets a question like that. Personally I wish we could have traded XD .... Chris is in Korea for the same reason as me. But he could have evaded with "I have Korean friends"....
So he's like stuttering... can't say yes, can't say no... both would be wrong... So after a while he just said "OK...?"
And then he had to give her a hug and she was blushing and ... I think I was laughing... shoot. -_-x*
After Chris (America) was Alicia (Mexico). Alicia was asked about if she had any difficulties or so. She said that it's hard to communicate sometimes, because we don't speak Korean very well yet, but that everybody is very kind and all ^_^x
Then came Raquel and he asked her what she can already say in Korean.... see above XD
Alicia also dances flamenco after that. OMKami, I knew that the host guy could speak fluent Spanish, but he joined in a bit, too XD (Afterwards Alicia told us that she was horrified, because she didn't know how to react XD) But she did really well and it was awesome. I wish I knew some traditional German dances... I guess I can waltz ... ^^x*
Then came our little chant, which went flawlessly. I wonder if my hair looked OK.... (Stupid, selfish sidecomment =P)
At the end of the show I wanted to go to a shop where I assumed the sold posters and manhwa/manga... And it had a HUGE Fullmetal Alchemist poster in the window... *wants* But I got brought home... -_-x* It's so far away, I can't walk there from home....
I guess that was it... (Actually I'm just too lazy to type anymore XD)
And there was a cool band on Saturday... They're only in Middleschool O_Ox Wow. I have vids... ^^x*
