I'm going to use my diary, the lack of LJ did it good, and I probably wrote more in 5 days of Japan than 2 months in Seoul ^^x*
Are you ready?
"OMKami JAPAN!"
I woke up so early on Monday. So early, that I wasn't surprised by Miso's Cursed Alarmclock. >_>x
I had to be in school at 10 o'clock, but I left with Miso at 8... I just couldn't stay home like that...
So I waited in the teacher's lounge because it was raining outside and I wasn;'t in the mood to sit in class, only to storm out the moment the clock struck 10.
I left 5 Min earlier XD
Alcia and Raquel were already there, it was nice that we were put in one bus. After our choruses of "OMKami Japan!", Chris came in eventually, too.
He lives just across the street, so he took his time.
And thus our adventure began.
Like all bus rides, it was pretty boring. But we didn't want to turn on our mp3 players just yet because they'd have to last us 5 days, as we couldn't charge them in Japan.
The same with our cameras. I was so scared it would die on me...
Chris is normally very quiet. Yet sitting next to him while he's reading a book about physics 'n stuff, he's very annoying since he goes into "nerd mode" and just won't shut up.
(I'd like to read in the bus, but I get sick)
Chris:"But the light *bla,bla,bla*..., so what to the particles ride on?"
"What?"
"What do the particles ride on?"
"....Waves?"
"Waves?"
"Yeah.... you know, with a surf board... (My mother's sense of humour coming through there)"
"..."
Urgh. It was mp3 time pretty soon.
Actually, I get the feeling that Japan made Chris come alive. Another thing that makes Chris come alive is coffee.
During a break he bought 2 cups of coffee. Because it was raining, he wanted to open his umbrella... while holding the coffee.
Needless to say he failed and got coffe on his shirt.
Then he bagan sucking on it.
"Chris, that's disgusting."
"It's coffee."
"You don't know where that shirt's been."
"Yes I do, on me."
"That's worse."
After the stop the busdriver turned on the TV and we had to endure the torture of the Entertainment Channel. (= make stars do ridiculous things).
MSTing is fun XD
When we finally arrived in P/Busan:
Chris:"It's raining.... AGAIN."
*short pause* both of us: "STILL."
Argh, the 1 hour of waiting dragged by. I could have changed my money... If I had had my passport, which the teachers had.
When we did get them, Chris decided that his Eagle is better than ours. (Except that Equador has a Vulture.)
Alicia, Raquel & Colle:"Chris, shut up."
Actually, I think that that's the most common thing I've said on this exchange.
I'm glad I'm European. Go shopping in France? No problem. Want to drive to Italy just to get a pizza? Can be done! (My family actually did that one summer holiday. It was a long time ago, but I still remember a few things. XD)
Korea and Japan aren't that far apart... Gah. Why must I fill out all these forms? @_@x
Especially since the address on my imigration card is still that of my first hostfamilys... >>x*
But the teachers wrote something in there and everything was OK.
Just tell Chris to shut up and stop making me nervous.
Ferry: First class. Yeah!
No beds, though. But Tatami mats ^_____^x And TV. OMKami, Japanese TV 8D.
I think it was a good idea that Raquel, Alicia and I were put in one room. I mean, sure we'd spend less time with the Koreans, but if we had been seperated, we'd hang out together anyway....
But we do talk Korean with each other a bit, it's fun XD
19:00 - Dinner and more forms to fill in...?
After that Chris came in to our room (Teh Scandal! XD) and we watched "The Tuxedo" On TV. (English with subtitles). Alicia also had dried squid with her.
Alicia:"I don't really like the taste, but it gives you something to chew on."
...I know I don't like seafood, but I like something you can chew on. Since I always have students chewing on a tentacle next to me, I grew a little curious and actually tried one.
I didn't like it. But atleast I tried now.
..... *shudders*
Later everybody met in the hall, where we had a karaoke party!! 8D
Raquel and I sang BUZZ' "가시" ("GaShi"= Thorn), which actually sounded like Korean. I also noticed that I've become faster in reading, which makes me happy XD
And alone: Gackt's "To Feel the Fire" ... I had students shouting "FIAAA!!" afterwards still. I love that song.
(Pictures next time... Gosh, I love putting on a show XD)
Everybody who sang recieved a Kitkat and an orange.
Speaking of recieving, I got toothpaste from Mr Park. Forst socks, now toothpaste. Wow thank you. It's what I've always wanted... I have to admit that it's quite usefull stuff, toothpaste, but Mr parks is not in our good books thanks to the organisation of this exchange....
I finally got the chance to change my Won into Yen with the teachers. 85.000 Won = 10.000 Yen. Precious~~
Then the us four Gaijin roamed around the boat, singing and yelling on deck... The ferry hadn't left yet, so you got to see a night view of B/Pusan.
...I'll stop here now. (Dinner time ^^x*)
Next time:
(Hopefully) the first pictures, first encounter with Japanese people and maybe the actual arrival in Japan. 8D
