Barking mad!

I have a rather sad announcement to make:
We'll take the pigs away on Thursday. And it won't be a friendly pig farm how we had hoped, since the lady who wanted to take them wrote us an e-mail to say that she lives next to a city counsellor and he would sue her if she took them, so she can't. Bastard.
We got an address from a Farmer-friend. I guess the lions and tigers in the nearby zoos will be grateful.

Some workers are fixing our pipesystem at the moment and putting holes in all over the house, so my feet, especially my blue one, are freezing~
Its doing OK, I've got used to the crutches and I've got the arms to prove it. Maybe I should widen the sleeves of my Guardevoir cos a bit more... (The gray dress is finished for now. I made a mistake on the back, but I don't think you'll be able to see it when I've got the green overcoat on).
I had a chance to actually look at my foot myself yesterday, since it's been in bandages since last Tuesday. It's so blue, dabedi, dabedai. Yeah.
I don't have the problem of telling my employer that I can't work at the moment for the simple reason that I don't have a job. I take "not calling back" as "you were rejected".
I guess I did come across as a weirdo. He didn't seem too impressed by Japanese history and probably put it into the category of useless courses like philosphy and art *This is a quote!* that shouldn't be allowed to be financed in any way.

However, I was looking for a book to give to my cousin for her confirmation yesterday and the lady suggested a novel about some Japanese clans. It was a fat book and I know that getting a really fat book on a subject your not warmed up to can be discouraging, but I still asked if she knew which period it was set in and she said something like "Samurai era", which make me cringe inside. In the cover was a quote from the Heike Monogatari and I thought to myself I might as well put the knowledge I have acquired to the test: "I'd guess 13th century..." It was like using magic for the first time! Such a cheap thrill...
But she was a book saleslady and not a historian, so my witty remark went unacknowledged.
*drama*
In the end I got her Terry Pratcett's "Nation", but in German. The German title is "Eine Insel", which automatically puts THAT song into my head (if you're German, you'll know exactly which one I mean).
I've just finished reading the book myself and I really enjoyed it, even though it might have been written for a younger audience than usual (??).
I also thought it would be better to get her I book I've read myself, it's more personal that way.

I'm going to see 'Alice in Wonderland' tonight~ I'm rather excited, I just hope I won't be disappointed. Speaking of Tim Burton films, I just recently watched "Beetlejuice" again.
The last time I watched the film, I was really small and I swear I had the nastiest nightmares about the snake Beetlejuice turns into for years and up to this day, I know it's silly, I have reserves about saying his name three times. Luckily it's not a word you use in everyday conversation. Later, when there was an animated series, I thought was just wrong and I couldn't understand why!
It was akward watching it again, I wasn't scared, but I could see why I was back then.
Edward Scissorhands wasn't exactly my childhood hero either.

Oh Tim Burton, I'm so glad I'm not scared by your films anymore XD
A further sign of maturity was the statement my mother made the other day:
"I'm worried about that boy in P.E... I mean I had my doubts about you pretending to be a dog, eating out of bowls under the table, walking on all fours and barking at people, but this kid..."
And then it hit me: I really did do all of those things.

I can still bark pretty well, though. ^^x*
콜레

P.S: I caught a Feebas!! 8D
(Those who play Pokémon will know what this means. For those who don't = I have too much time on my hands I should be using for useful things)
