time flies & fruit flies

Murphy's law: You hang out your washing to dry and it starts to rain.

It seems like a lot has happened the last few days, especially when the world was shaken by Michael Jackson's death. It's such a strange feeling, a similar one to when I read about Steve Irwin, I can't quite call it sadness or sorrow, but I was very upset and I feel for the people who have lost somebody very dear to them. My boys in class 10, for example, were HUGE fans, I wonder how they took it. I don't know what I would do if something happened to the boys of Janne. My mother wrote to me telling me that my grandmother is not feeling well, so I'm worried about her, too. Everybody, please take care of yourselves~ *hugs*

On a lighter note, I went to a maid café I found in town on Saturday in honour of kiyo's birthday!
Only Lara came along with me and stayed, Daniel had to take care of some weird, obscure business involving a pet dog. I don't know, but I think we two enjoyed ourselves despite the ridiculously high priced cappuchinos.

To begin with, these were the fluffy menus:

They were so cute. =3
I liked the "OH MY GO~D!" I heard when I asked the waitress serving us to get her friends for a picture.

And yesterday I went to Longtan Park (龙潭公园) with Owain and his girlfriend (Oh great, I forgot her name *fail*). It really is a huge park, but since it's near No 13 Middle School, Owain knows his way around and we didn't get hopelessly lost.

The odd thing is that they built a bridge right next to this one.
Maybe so you could take pictures of the pretty Chinese bridge?

I'm guessing that this is a name, but I realised that you could write "Wang is a dickhead" as Chinese graffiti and it'd still look pretty. I wonder how you simply write "I was here" in Chinese. "我在了"?
The walls of my flat have the occasional "Frances was here FEB. 2006", "LUCY 2005" etc. Steffi has "Ernie the floorcamper". It makes me want to put something amusing on the wall myself. Perhaps a simple "Welcome to za Chinaz!"

Oh sorry, I meant:

Hey, it was my mother who pointed out that it looked rather phallic. I had noticed, but, I was in public and all...
But click here if you don't want to be mature right now

Coming back round to some Chinese graffiti, this instantly reminded me of an awesome song:

Siam Shade's Lovesick ~You don't know~ I love all versions of this song! (acoustic version)

I also made a little music vid with clips I've made:

I took the initiative by sending out "I've got holidays now"-*hint hint*-SMS, I can't believe I only have a few weeks left here. I'm looking forward to home, but so many things will be different!
