I don't have much food in the house, but for some reason that made me eat more yesterday. I think it was some kind of atavistic response from cave woman days, staving off starvation. Today I'd better go to the store to get some bread and stuff I really like so I'm not forced to overeat on food I don't like. That does make some kind of sense, but I'm not going to think about it too closely.
When the baby was sick she was lucky enough to be at Riley Hospital. My son said the staff was wonderful, not just to the baby but the parents as well. The care of all of them was superb.
A strange lady came to my door last night. Although she was a bit odd, her grievance was valid. Zipped up in her sweatshirt was a very cute, young kitty. She said it had been wandering around and came right up to her and her dogs as they were going for a walk. I told her I thought it belonged to the rental two doors from me. Those people have another cat that they let out all day and well into the night, and I've seen this kitty with the other cat.
This lady kept talking and talking even after I told her where the cat lived. We discussed the ignorance of people who let their cats run, but it took her a long time to leave. She tried to talk me into taking the cat a couple of times, but I can't have that worry again.
I felt bad for the cat, and I don't know if the lady found its home or if the owners even answered the door. I just hate that kind of thing.
Today - shopping of various kinds.
