Another Weekend
Well this weekend was rather interesting. It decided to wait until the end of the weekend to write it because I am busy during the day (with games) and I figured I would have more to talk about.
Anyway, lets see... What did I do this weekend...
Ah, yes. I almost drove my mother MORE insane than she already is. At first everyone had cancelled for D&D this weekend. So I told my mom "I am not playing D&D because nobody is gonna come." Then Andy calls me up and says that his plans changed so he is coming over around 4-5. So I went and told my mom "Looks like Andy is coming over. We will proably play D&D a few minutes then just play video games or something."
So, Andy shows up and we start to make his character. His character this time around is himself who fell into a cryo-tube like in Futurama and ended up in the future. He is a Student/Tech Genius because he got some training from the scientists. Anyway then Doug calls a few minutes into the game and says HIS plans changed so he is getting a ride and would be over soon. So, I went and said to my mother "Yeah... Looks like its me Andy and DOUG now.
If that wasnt enough to drive her insane it happened later. Right after I tell her this the phone rings and I answer it. Loe and Behold it is Joe. He says that now HE can come over and is on his way. So, I go and tell my mom about this. So, now I am rather happy because I have 3 of the usual 6 players.
To top it all off Danielle called me a few minutes later to talk to me. After talking for a few minutes I invited her over to play and she loved the idea. So she went to ask her parents and got permission. We went and after a bit of communication from Danielle, my parents, and Andy we figured out how to get to her house and went to get her. She came over and played D&D and spent the night.
Interestingly enough she informed me that her boyfriend from Iraq just broke up with her earlier. As the night went on I got up the courage to ask her out again. (I had asked her out earlier but she told me that she had the guy in Iraq and didnt want to break up with him while he was so far away.) Anyway, he turned me down because she didnt want to be on the rebound. Hopefully in awhile we will be going out however. Once it isnt so quick.
To finish off the day I ended up getting a bad cold. I have been sick all weekend now. I am hoping I am not okay again tomorrow because it sucks to be sick all weekend and then go to school on Monday.
