MEETING JENSEN #DCCon
First con! First time meeting Jensen! DC!!! - An incoherent recollection for myself and everyone (but most of all for my dearest hunenka who demanded I remember every single detail and tell her about it)
[ Enter Sous, armed with a Sunday Pass ]
So Jensen ops start soon after the Sunday morning gold panel. Normally they call people up by number, but because I was sharing an op with Amy dugindeep who was also attending the Jared Meet & Greet we got to fast track the line and go first. (Ok, not first first - but like - in the room before Jensen first). CUE ME SPENDING THE MORNING PANICKING BECAUSE I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS MOMENT AT ALL?! (Of which Lysa and Amy(shaped) tortured me by telling me very unhelpful things like ‘oh he’s gonna look at you in the eyes” and ‘oh he’s gonna hug you and touch you’ - which UNSURPRISINGLY DID NOT CALM ME DOWN).
I should explain that Amy’s idea for the Op was to hold hands with Jensen (EEE!) while throwing our arms up like we’re cheering in the hopes that his shirt would ride up (EEE!) and WE WOULD CATCH THE TUM TUM ON PHOTO (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!).
Problem? I’m like. 5 ft tall. Amy is not. And Jensen is Most Definitely Not. So dilemma. How were we supposed to get the Tum Tum if he doesn’t raise his arms high enough? QnQ
LYSA TO THE RESCUE! She finds an ottoman (about same height as a stool) beneath the armchair and IT WAS PERFECT. Iiiiffff not mortifyingly embarrassing to carry down to the lobby and into the op room. OTL (But Lysa and Amy and Stacy were lovely and carried it for me while I was… distressed so it ALL WORKED OUT).
Anyways, IT’S TIME FOR THE OP and so we head down to lobby and into the photo op room with my new ottoman friend, skipping ahead of the line. And we wait there, trying not to panic and he just -
HE FUCKING WALKS INTO THE ROOM, RIGHT IN FRONT OF US and I can’t quite remember if there was cheering or not (there probably was) because frankly, my brain fell out the side of my head.
He looked good. Like amazing. Like the best pictures you’ve ever seen of him except in the brilliant High Definition of Real Life. So 1000x better. His face is just casually perfect nbd. He’s tall. VERY TALL, broad and had amazing hair. Incredibly beautiful. And kind of impossibly perfect. And his walk? I didn’t realize before how attracted I was with his walk?! He has a certain gait with his bowlegs, but damn. He walks into the room and waves and says ‘Good Morning’ cool as you please, like he owns the place, and not at all like 50 girls just swooned. He must be pretty used to it.
And I have to say - he was wearing the PERFECT FREAKING OUTFIT for our evil plan. It was that black cardigan? And single layer short white tee combo (that was incredibly sexy) BUT ALSO INCREASED THE CHANCES OF TUM by A LOT. His entire outfit that day was hot. Model AF.
So Ops start up, Chris has got the music blaring and everyone’s pretty excited and it was super super cute to watch him do Ops with other girls. I was having trouble keeping calm, so I don’t remember any specifically except that one girl had brought bunny ears for him to wear and he put them on and crossed his arms and gave the camera the most amazing Grumpy Jensen look. It was freaking adorable.
Most people probably know this but Ops last less than a minute. They go by really fast. Pretty soon (too soon, 10 lifetimes too soon) it was our turn! So there’s me, front of the line with my ottoman, and Amy’s waiting with Jensen and I kind of rush on over and set it down next to him at which point he looked RIGHT AT ME and in his spectacular Jensen Sass Voice goes:
“Really? Really?”
AND I CANNOT DESCRIBE. HOW AMAZING HE SOUNDS IN PERSON. EVEN SASSY GRUMPY. Okay? He slayed me with two words. And I GOT GRUMPY JENSENED AND I JUST COULDN’T BE HAPPIER. Just know that I replay that moment in my head on the daily, and it never fails to make me giggle and smile like an idiot. Jensen and that voice. And me. Gosh.
In any case, he was pretty amused, I could tell by his smirky-smile face. If you’re wondering what my reply was it went like this:
Jensen: *is himself*
Me: *Struck dumb and mute, while vigorously nodding and grinning like a goof*
Amy’s already on his other side, so I got up on the stool, and HE PUT HIS ARM AROUND MY WAIST as the three of us faced the camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I died)
And at that point Amy had to stop him (Q___Q) and explain the Op that we wanted. She told me that she got the full Green Eyed Ackles Stare while she was talking. How she survived, I do not know.
He put his arms back down and held his hand out and I slipped my hand in his (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and he kind of engulfed my tiny hand in his grip and we threw our arms up! AND LET ME TELL YOU HIS HAND IS BIG (especially compared to mine) AND SOFT/SMOOTH? AND WONDERFUL.
Then the camera flashed (and I panicked because WTF I DO NOT RECALL THE FACE I WAS MAKING AT ALL?) and then it was done, I quickly grabbed the ottoman so that we could get out of the way.
And that? Was it. Q____________________Q
It felt all of 2 seconds. It probably was all of 2 seconds. We weren’t allowed to get hugs unless you were doing that as your op pose, SO UNFORTUNATELY I FAILED IN MY SECRET MISSION TO DISCOVER WHAT JENSEN SMELLS LIKE.
But I still walked on clouds that entire day. I met Jensen Ackles you guys.
Annnnd our op turned out BEAUTIFULLY:
AND WE GOT THE TUM TUM! (Okay a slip of it) BUT MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Summary of rest of Con/trip:
J2 panel was amazing. I was sitting pretty far away but it’s still cool to be in the same room as J2 you know? Such a fun atmosphere, and they make it so great for the fans. They gave awesome answers that day too ;u; <3 I’ll meet Jared next time prob? I’LL PICK HIM UP IT’LL BE GREAT.
And standing in line with Lysa for autos and I got to watch Jensen blow kisses at a few girls and just -swooons-
And all the wonderful girls that I met at that Con (and after the Con :D) I FINALLY GOT TO MEET dugindeep, cherie_morte, riyku, rozearkana, amy(shaped), kelleigh, and Lysa and Stacy and Mieke ;u; THEY WERE SO MUCH FUN, and so hilarious and sweet and they got me through that day. After the weekend, I stayed for 2 days in DC to see the sights, and Cherie was kind enough to host me and tour us around <3 It was such a memorable time.
I can't believe that was only a month ago. I miss everyone very very much and can't wait to have adventures with them again <3
