Well, this weekend is off to a cracking good start. Friday was a bit hairy at work, but by day's end everything was delivered on time and to everyone's satisfaction. That evening though,
leftyviolist and I had a lovely surprise as our friend P. invited us over and when her husband returned home, we spent a lovely evening on their boat on the reservoir. We passed by Mitch Daniels' house, and manfully I resisted the impulse to throw rocks and blow raspberries.
Today was super. This morning I beat Shadow of the Colossus. Now to proper PS2 gamers this is probably pretty weak beer, but to me it was a big deal. It's the first video game that I've played seriously in many a year, and I enjoyed it tremendously. I quiver a bit to think that now I've unlocked the "hard" mode (shudder). What next, I wonder? Ratchet and Crank looked promisingly fun, when
empressdragon brought it over, but I'm tempted to give Katamari Damacy a try (as a puzzle addict, it sounds like fizzy fun.)
Also, big, BIG movie recommendation for Hot Fuzz...this is especially for
brwnieinmotion. M. and I had some serious belly laughs. Tomorrow, visit with family units, a bit o' church in the morning and more Richard Dawkins for me (No, I haven't started sprouting horns.
leftyviolist can verify.)
Excelsior!
