RIP Owen McDevitt... Aaron and Elise- Im so sorry. You two are wonderful, and I hope brighter days come soon. You are in my prayers.

All this thinking, all these thoughts... most are happy. Memories from the past. Its amazing how easy it is to remember the bad things that have happened in life, but so hard to recall the good times. Perhaps because the bad things stick with you- they are not as common, they are every day occurrences. Or is it because we are all a little bit masochistic?

Jon brought up a good point. And it makes you wonder- how much longer do you have with those that you love? It happened in an instant, unexpected. It could happen to anyone, really. How long do we have?

All of the movies that Ive watched recently, all of the songs Ive listened to have a recurring theme. Live your life. You can find this message in almost everything, though its often subtle.

While on my nursing coops, Ive taken care of those in their final hours of life, and those in their first. Ive seen a human being take their first breath of air, and Ive seen a human take their last. Both of these have made unspeakable impressions on me. But both have also taught me- you need to live your life. Now of course, I dont follow that as well as I should. But at least Im aware of that truth being there. Its on my mind every day.

If I could ask one thing of all my friends, its that you should be thankful. Be kind. Love all of those that will let you, hold on and dont ever let go. Be happy and see the good that there is in this world. Live your life.

"These are the days when we'll remember
These are the times that won't come again
The highest of flames becomes an ember
And you've got to live while you can..."
