noooo dont curfew us! it wouldn't make any difference. they'd all just take down the p-plates after the curfew. the reason we broke all the rules was becos they blocked off a billion roads, and we couldnt get anywhere. we didnt actually endanger anyone. they didn't even block them properly... u'd turn at the lights where there was no signs or blocks or anything, get halfway down the road and then it would be blocked, and you'd have to turn around and go back, the wrong way, to get out. into oncoming traffic doing what you'd just done... that is BAD. the only way out without going back that way into head on collisions, was to run over the orange street cones, which is what we did.
i've never ever been pulled over in a car with anyone... and i've never not trusted the driver who was speeding/breaking another law. i don't agree with some road laws. but i dont really wish to argue that with you, since i don't have a total knowledge of them, and i dont drive myself.
i know plenty of people who while they were p-platers, never wore their p-plates. they never got any fines, never got pulled over (minus booze buses, but were always sober so they never checked their licence), and thus passed the stage where they needed to wear p-plates. the fact that this is possible means other people do it also.
you sound like a parent who is also a traffic cop.
I drive. I have a son. I'd rather not have some reckless young idiot driver than thinks their are either a superhero, racecar driver or invulnerable hit me and my car. Either hurtings or killing me or my son. I would rather see him grow up into a fine man than mourn because of idiot drivers.
Ay you are young, and whether you feel it or not, driving how you described it is reckless. Maybe the situation deemed it, but still doesnt make it right.
i know people who have been pulled over by police & fined big money for not wearing p-plates. even i have been pulled over a couple of times for that, & i am not a stupid crazy driver. it happens!
i only hope that for your sake, one day daniel gets caught for speeding or going through red lights & loses his liscence. people who drive like that have no right to be on the roads.
Whilst it sucks that your day was ruined, I don't see why daniel really had to break so many road rules.
Maybe the idea of P platers being curfewed might be a good idea.

Taking down p-plates doesnt work all too well. The fine for not having your p-plates on when you are a p-plater is quite amusingly high :)
Still, road rules are road rules. No one may have been endangered this time, but there is next time and so forth.
