Time for my 5 or so month update ;p
Well, quite a bit has happened. My school got yanked out from under my feet before I was able to finish the program. In the end, it wasn't such a disaster. I would have liked to get that sense of closure, but I learned enough to get me well along my way. More importantly, I got the fundamental training necessary to do well in any artistic endeavor- so I can continue to learn on my own, which is something I've always preferred anyway.
So I moved on to freelance for a bit and continued my studies independently. Before too long, I ended up getting too much freelance to keep up and decided to wrap on my current projects and slow down a bit. Pretty much the next day I got an e-mail out of the blue from a small start-up about a full time concept art position. A couple interviews and a crazy ass art test later, I was on a plane to meet the team. I leave San Francisco for good on September 10th and Rupa is following me out soon there-after.
I don't know how I managed to pull off a transition into the hardest area of the an already impossible to crack industry in under 3 years, but here I am. Craziness.
Onto life, I suppose :P
Here is some new work- paintings, digitals, etc.
