Someday I'm going to remember this before tracking down any of their recommended albums:
Pitchfork reviewers like music made by ass hats
They gave a 9 to an album that is just volume swells. No shit. They've actually stuffed their heads so far up their own asses that the ability to automate a volume knob impresses them. I'm a guy who enjoys a good volume swell (huge Sigur Ros fan), but I was under the impression it should swell up to something. Anything. I guess it registers on some metaphorical level with indie artists and reviewers alike- an infinite swell to accompany that unlimited reserve of ego.

So, does anyone have a good site to find new music? My favorite music related web site of all time has gone the way of the dodo (http://www.muxtape.com), and daddy needs a fix.
