(no subject)
My entire term thus far has been a breeze. I've basically been a head of the game on every assignment and i have actually read all of the readings in my english class. today, however, was one of the busiest days of my life.
First off, I've been trying to work on this assignment for my electronic art class for a week now, but haven't been able to do so because the room is repeatedly locked, the imagearts webserver os crashing every 5 minutes, and the prof.'s website which has a lot of the code we need is for some reason asking for a password before you can enter. so i get to class today, the due date, and my stuff still isn't on my site because of this. i also haven't even been able to TEST my code because i temporarily lost my ac adapter, and i just found it this morning. so i'm just assuming that it works.
In that same class today, we had a group inclass assignment. we had 1.5 hours to make some sort of installation/interactive piece/concept that included the basic stamp we are using, an analog input, and a digital input and output. we were also given a paper bag of materials in which to include. they were:
a styrofoam bowl with lid
2 film reels
tooth picks
elastics
we ended up making this really cool air hockey ish game, where when you hit the puck on certain spots it made music and lights go off. and it was totally remote unlike everyone elses because i had a 9v battery in my pocket!
THEN
i had to write my english midterm right after that hectic 1.5 hour electronic shite. the exam went really well, though. i only realized after that i forgot to answer one small part of one 4 mark question. no biggie.
FINALLY
i had a mini graphic design critique of our 3 page double spreads. that wasn't hard or anything, it was just exhausting going around and looking and commenting on everyone's shite.
i came home and slept for 4 hours! i just woke up, so i could actually get ready to go back to bed again :)
