so...
i finally got around to going to the bank with my sister (tara - who i'll be living with come september) and getting things set up for a line of credit. everything went smoothly and nothing was unexpected EXCEPT the fact that i HAD to get a loan of $15,000! if i got a loan i could how ever much i wanted, but would have to make payments and interest right away. a line of credit made me get 15 grand, and i only have to pay interest until 1 year after i graduate. but i should be able to pay off more.
i went to the U of T bookstore this morning at 10am because i knew they give good student discounts on mac stuff. but when got there the guy refused to sell me anything with a discount because i was from ryerson. UGH. so i went all the way to the new mac store at yorkdale. so nice. i got my 12'' G4 Powerbook Superdrive in less then 15 minutes with a $250 discount AND a FREE Ipod Mini! silver.
so my entire day so far (and will continue into the rest of the evening) has been spent uploading my cd's, downloading music, downloading programs, and setting up my printer, etc. i still need to see if the files from my old broken computer can be salvaged and put on to this new baby.
so, excuse my absence. i'll be back much more often.
(my bedroom smells so much of new hardware!)
