Vacation
I had a bloody excellant time this long weekend! I didn't get nearly enough sleep and am kinda paying for it now but it was worth it--I would still do it all over again! :P My body is sore--I think its a combination of sleeping cramped with Rach (sorry Luv, just not used to sleeping with two people any more), some hardcore frisbee in the water with Andy, and a few stresses that I couldn't set aside for the weekend. I can't wait to get pictures back from this trip--they were awesome! I kinda want to hit myself though cuz we stopped at Meijer to get Harry Potter for Rach and I didn't drop off my film to get developed!! DUH! Argh, it was the first thing I thought of when I got to my house.
So, here are a few highlights from the weekend:
-Getting pictures from Paul from last year! Whoohoo!!! :P
-Making a big lunch for the gang and showing them all over the area--canoing ROCKED!!
-Poking Andy
-"Daddy?" -Paul...heavens, that was hilarious!!! Best pretend family fight EVER! haha
-Talking late into the night with Rach and getting to show her "the pictures"
-Getting to show Chris everything that we already have come to know as our "vacation haven" and introduce him to the fam
-a nice "mind escaping" walk with Andy down to the park
-Having my BEST FREINDS with me during the car accident--thanks Rosh for the insight, thanks Andy for the phone calls and immediate action to help, thanks Paul and Rach for your comfort and soothing words; thank you all for your hugs and support
-Quoting Brian Regan after watching the DVD
-Watching Ace Vanchura (sp?)--hilarious!!!!!!!
-Badmitten!!!
-Ice Cream!
-And the ever constant photo shoots!
I'm glad you all were able to come up and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Sorry I had to scoot early for work--I would have LOVED to put-put with you guys. I hope you didn't have too much fun with out me (if so, just lie to me and say it was terrible! :P ) Sorry I got you lost and the laundry wasn't finished--my bad.
This week looks interesting already. Not sure yet when my car will be able to get checked out so getting Jess and I to work will be...fun. I need to catch up on job stuff but that's nothing new nor really a challenge, just not very fun. Oh, but if you guys could keep my mom and my family in your thoughts and prayers that would be great. My dad told me this morning--voice choked with tears--that my mom isn't getting better but is getting worse. I will do my best but I have been stuggling with my own defeats lately so its getting harder and harder to be the support my mom needs. And then there's the Tom thing...which seems SO irrelevant when my mom's mental health, my career, my physical health, and my family's finances need attending. Yet its the one thing that is stealing away all my sleep. I'm fighting an internal battle with myself all day.
Anyway, it was a great weekend and a wonderful treat during a difficult time. When I'm bummed I'll try to look back on the fun times and smile. Send pictures my way when you get a chance! Thanks!
