Comment with any ship (romantic or platonic or maybe even non-existent!) from a fandom that you know I have some knowledge about, and I will rant about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on your ship of choice.

I will try to keep the disgust to a minimum.

Hmm. They don't hit all my OTP/write-all-the-fic buttons in the way that some things do, but they're definitely a ship that I would read and enjoy and like to watch. I think that they care a lot about each other; I think that Baby Doll brought Rocket a lot of hope that she desperately wanted, and that Rocket is very much impressed with Baby Doll and at a stage that would be starry-eyed if she didn't also see an underlying vulnerability - and what's great there is that this doesn't take away from Rocket's view of Baby Doll as strong and powerful and amazing, it just undercuts any potential hero-worship. So there's a mixed admiration with an appreciation that Baby is only human. As to Baby Doll's feelings about Rocket, I think Rocket is one of the first people to look at her as impressive and powerful; she's someone who listens to Baby and trusts her, and that's amazing. And along with her belief is her kindness - also such a rare thing in Baby Doll's life - and her welcoming nature and the fact that she's managed to hold onto that ( ... )

I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM OH GOD. tbh i ship ot3 more than anything because a) rocket wants to marry baby doll and have a house with a white picket fence and cats, b) sweet pea and baby doll's relationship arc is a GORGEOUS THING THAT IS GORGEOUS, and c) SISTERFEELINGS. the end. :|b

You have just identified a) the absolute and entire and adorable truth and b) the reason I do not ship them in proportion to their cuteness. Note to self: deal with this picket-fence allergy.

And incest is not my particular cup of tea, but ALL FRENS ALWAYS FOR SURE.

(As regards 5ive Girls, I am getting that impression but I don't know how well I'll do with horror, soo...)

also:

what is really nice is that most of the les-yay between them seemed more romantic than sexual, i.e., about their feelings rather than fetish fuel

you should watch 5ive Girls. /WILL NEVER STOP STANNING THAT MOVIE EVER

okay so em. em? 5ive girls is the least scary thing ever. it's more supernatural movie than horror movie. it's like the craft meets the covenant meets sucker punch but WITH NO BUDGET AND ALSO CANADA AND THE HAMMIEST OF VILLAINS. you will love it if you love things that are silly and impossible to take seriously but also very good and you will fall in love with every one of the girls. i guarantee it. CECILIA. ALEX. LEAH. CONNIE. MARA. mara is everything i want to be. *____________*

Sara, The Village scared the hell out of me. Like, the cheap drama/horror flick that was the point when M. Night Shaymalan started to suck. I can handle something like Black Swan because it's (probably) all in her head, but an unseen evil thing that I can't fight? AAAAUGHHH GET IT AWAAAY. (And I looked it up on TvTropes and pretty much the first thing mentioned is 'unseen evil forces' and 'powerless.') I mean, maybe it really is that cheap and cheesy, but it doesn't take much budget to swing the camera around an empty room and make weird noises while a tense string plays, and that is seriously all it takes.

...of course, it's on Netflix instant streaming, so you have probably mostly won.
