Keepsakes

My mom keeps random stuff lying about, wherever we are, whenever we move. In our old home, you could go into the garage and find boxes filled with really useless things - chairs for dolls to sit, outdated calendars with pretty pictures in them, books no one has read since 1991, hairpins and toilet-paper, just-in-case; puzzles my sister and I used to do as kids, and clothes that she wore in college.

It's kind of funny. The other night my mom got a box from California, full of things she couldn't fit in her suitcase on her last trip. She unpacked it, then jammed the box into her closet and said: "We'll need this when we move."

Another addition to the pile of crap of stuff we don't need.

I think I'm going to start my magazine online. It's an idea I've been kicking around.
