Non-date
Last night I hung out with Chris, Amar's best friend from high school. I had such an amazing time - he really is one of the better people on this planet. I took him to this nice Mexican restaurant on my block called Oyemel - the food was amazing, and we had really great conversation.
After walking around for a bit, we then moved the party on over to Dupont, to SoHo cafe where we both got cold drinks and sat outside and continued to talk for another hour or two. It was really nice, being connected to people again, since I haven't been all that social upon getting here to DC.
After talking about alcohol he got super excited and wanted to take me to this Cuban restaurant/club in Adams Morgan so we drove up in his car and had two mojitos each. The place was super cute, and the really hot bartender took periodic breaks from making drinks to dance with the customers and coworkers. It was really amazing. We both got kind of tipsy so we had to walk around for a bit just to sober up, and our conversations got goofier and funner the drunker we got.
I told him about John Wayne Gacy, Jr. and he was all like, "Gay-see? That's some gay shit right there."
It was pretty hilarious.
