I know this show is not all happy fluffy bunnies, but oh lor. I don't think I am at all prepared for this! The things this episode:
Rachel's sad face is the saddest sad face.
Gill not remembering names - that is a THING, and it is one that I do NOT APPROVE OF. Oh, Gill. Oh, Gill. Absolutely none of the possible explanations there are good, because you are a character in a TV show for whom these things are significant and not just a sign you need a better night's sleep or whatever. I also don't think usual!Gill would bring up Rachel's mum...or at least, not like that. I'm worried.
Janet being amazing at her job is delightful, and I want her to go on AWESOME dates not with randos her mum picked, but I am concerned at where I see the Janet-and-her-mum storyline going from here. Because I'm thinking: they argue, Janet's mum tells Rachel who was offered the job first, it's all sad and tragic.
There needs to be a dissertation on the politics of the ladies loo in this show IMMEDIATELY so I can read it. And the writers clearly KNOW IT, too, because by god the intrusion of a man into the ladies loo was later followed up by Gill yelling at a dude to GET OUT, and out he went. Gill values her ladies-only space and she will defend that space with all she's got. Love. It.
