It is Friday! Huh-fucking-rah! SO, I have a couple of not particularly consequential things to say:

White Collar this week was fine but not epically squeally glee. Maybe there wasn't enough El. I think "not enough El" is probably a valid criticism for pretty much everything, though, so...

Peter and Neal were adorable though! I read a criticism recently that basically the show is Peter losing more and more control... and I'm not sure I agree. I think he's kind of letting go a little bit more, but I think that's at least supposed to be a good thing: like, Neal is meant to be becoming a bit more resigned to rules and restrictions and not being a criminal, and Peter is letting his inner anarchist out a little more to get stuff done. And I think I saw that this episode. Yeah, Neal wants to fake the bottle for ego reasons, but he doesn't expect to win (i.e. have a bottle that passes where the other guy's doesn't), he wants to get a criminal caught. And I think I like that.

I also love Peter randomly knowing about wine despite hating the whole event. I am guessing El taught him well. HAHAHAH NEAL'S FACE.

The plot was a bit ridiculous, and the Kate thing still makes me yawn - oh what do you know, someone else who might know about the music box, whatever, I still don't have any investment in Kate as a character (her being Neal's ex is NOT ENOUGH show) and no reason to think she's not in on it, when she keeps calling up all coy like 'Neeeaaaal, come and save me' without actually giving him any useful information that would help him do it. Eh. But despite that, I still really enjoy this show.

(I choose to arbitrarily blame Tim DeKay and his smiliness and Tiffani Thiessen and Matt Bomer. ♥ oh and I just found out Matt Bomer is mates with Zachary Quinto, and this irrationally makes me happy!)

Related to the above: ONE OF THE MOST ADORABLE VIDEOS EVER. I laughed a lot and did hearts at the screen. Blame tellitslant.

And Psych this week for me was all about the Lassie singing 'I'm Too Sexy' as the Psychout, BWAH BWAH BWAH BWAH BRB DEAD OF LAUGH. I love that so much!

Otherwise, I enjoyed all of it except Shawn on the podium which was occasionally amusing but hit my cringe button. But I especially liked:

- the guy knowing who Gus was! EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GUS. GUS IS GREAT. SAY WHAAAAT. (No really, I genuinely think Gus deserves to have more props in-show: he does stuff, he is at every crime scene, and he is Magic Head. Gotta give him some love, people.)
- The mirroring of events: the think-tank group meeting, and getting the dude to the car safely especially. That was cool. I totally knew the guy would get shot at from below and also that the bad guy would be in the car, though, omg. \show/
- JULES AND LASSIE BEING BADASS. I love them being badass so much. I especially love that they are partners in badassery - they do the silent communication thing usually reserved for two dudes in a buddy-cop scenario, they both kick equal ass and they are both equally silly. Love it.
- OMFG Henry being offered a job! I love that Vick noticed Henry's skillz, and I love that Henry defended Shawn, and I love that the 'he never came to my school play so he is bonding now' thing was a coverup but also TRUE, and I love that it implies later plot. Eee!

I hadn't seen Wonder of Birds for aaages but then I got linked and oh. That is the love of Due South fandom, right there. *looooves*

white collar, due south, psych, le random
