I got a box cutter in my back pocket, and I can't sit still. I got sent home from work for a hour to come back and close so Michael can leave early for his opening. I wish I could go, but I gotta clean my house more before our houseguest extravaganza gets entirely into swing. I think there will be more nights, so I'll be okay. But either way, I gotta kill some time.
So, you should know:
I'm officially a printmaking major, I guess. It was decided it might be the best idea at this point, even if I transfer. And I have classes! None of which are before 4:15 in the afternoon! And I got the last spot in Screen printing, even though I didn't even think I was going to take it!
Actually, that last statement didn't really deserve an exclamation point. But whatever. My schedule as follows:
Monday (and Wednesday)
4:15 - Screen Printing 1 + 2
7:30 - We Want the Airwaves
Tuesday
4:15 - Global Art History
Thursday
7:30 - Topics in Contemporary Science
So, basically what this means is:
I am fucked in Screen Printing, 'cause I didn't want to take it in the first place, since I'll actually have to do work, and I'll have to actually get up and do it. Which is unlikely.
We Want the Airwaves is the radio class. As my father is a radio genius, I will ace the class. Also, since I'm helping with the station I already have an in with the teacher.
I have already dropped this class twice, but now that Claire is teaching it, I'll be cool. I aced her class last semester, and I actually find her engaging so I'll be fine. Plus I already know a ton of this shit, since I made it half-way through the first time. Fuck Bobka and fuck getting sick.
Science is a Corvo class. I'll miss him talking about Philosophy, but I can get really down with this, too. Also, I think Michael might sit in on this one with me, so we can talk about stuff at work. Which will be hilarious for most of our patrons.
And here are (some of) my favorite songs of the moment:
The Avett Brothers - Kick Drum HeartYo La Tengo - Our Way To FallR.E.M. - The Great BeyondSt. Vincent - The NeighborsDawes - When My Time Comes Okay, time sufficiently wasted.
