our youth fundraiser for katrina relief definately BOMBED majorly today. we had at least 200 people there and only made 180 bucks. and most of that came from the youth parents and volunteers who donated their time and money in the first place to make the lunch happen in the first place. and that means there were plenty of other people there who decided they would eat lunch on the youth groups dime (and we're definately heading toward the negatives until we do our next fundraiser). and yes - the money that was donated will certainly make a difference in someones life... but "donations accepted" has always meant "you better give us money - we're just not telling you how much" to me. It was fun though. all "the usuals" we definately had fun putting dessert plates in bags. and catherine parsons came! and grant sang like a girl. it was scary.
I start the driving part of drivers ed. tomorrow at 6:40. its gonna suck. i guess i'm lucky though. since 3 people dropped our class on the day of the exam, i'm earlier on the list and i'm driving with danielle hicks instead of a really annoying freshman redneck. coach hodges is certifiably nuts though. and he scares me. and i get my permit WEDNESDAY!
The swing dance last night was definately one of the best yet :) a lot of new people came and i got to meet austin langely who'll be on our swim team this year. and i learned how to lead! me and brittnee parker are gonna go pro and i'm gonna shave my head and dress up like a boy.
