move in days officially rock my socks
i went to durham to help thomas and my mom work @ ncssm's junior move in day - which turned out to be a ton more fun than i thouht. i met his friend sarah and we both ditched our unloading jobs so she could take me on a tour around the campus - which i totally love about it. the school's set up in what used to be a really old hospital so it has this antique-y feel to it... but it's also kind of eerie. case in point: sarah's dorm room is in the old emergency wing and last year she was down the hall in what used to be the morgue. i also met some of the staff and their guidance counselors are so much less crabby than ours. i'm jealous. i'm still not 100% sure if i want to go there or not, but we'll have to wait n' see
yesterday i went to sanford to learn the choreography for our jazz dance this year. since i already knew some of it me and noelle got to teach for a little while - which led to us spazticly rolling and spinning on the floor trying to figure out a sequence... but its all good. we have new people on our team from sanford. i'm not sure i like all of them. two of them are dancers i've known since forever and are coming back after surgery last year, but there are these two twins that i ran into last year that i had issues with. see last year they didnt have a class for recital so they decided to put them in with us for their recital in sanford. which wouldnt be that big of a deal - except the fact that they came to a 6 hour rehearsal two days before our first competition (which they weren't even dancing in) while we didnt have any formations and a fifth of our dance hadn't been choreographed yet. i just remember they got mad at me because i was supposedly in one of their spots and needed me to move (yea right.) they just remind me of the twins from "big mouth and ugly girl." a lot.
i can't believe school starts this thursday. thats not cool. i told my mom not to make me go back and she said ok. i hope she knows that i'm seriously planning to take her up on that offer
