Hello! Long-time lurker here. A Classicist friend posted about this late-Roman cup at the Britism Museum, and when I saw them I couldn't help but think of Melheret saying, "Our artisans have worked for centuries to perfect their art."
The Lycurgus cup is made with nanoparticles of gold and silver in the glass, so that it changes color when held up to the light. You can read more about it on the
