[He's been suspiciously absent for a few days, right around the time the (worse) nightmares started, but here he is, looking rather exhausted and rubbing at his eyes slightly.]

No I...I've been having nightmares too. [There's a pause, then a barely stifled yawn before he looks blearily at the screen.]

...I might actually come home now.

Your bloody disappearance hasn't been helping things any. ...the cats are complaining. Get back here.

It's not like I'm very far away. If you'd really wanted to find me, you could have just looked around for a bit. [His sigh turns into another yawn.]

That's hardly the point. [He's too prideful to have gone looking for him, really.

For now, he just shuts off the PCD, sitting there on his bed. The kittens are curled up near him, looking at him curiously, but they don't do much else for now.]

[It's not long before the front door opens downstairs and a hoarse but familiar voice is calling hesitantly through the house.]

[He doesn't look up, but calls out back.]

[He makes it into the Master's room and gives him a small smile before flopping down on the bed beside him with a quiet sigh.]

I'm going to kill the Animus.

Not if I get them first. [His eyes are still gazing at the wall.] What do you dream of?

[There's a long pause.]

Rose. After I lost her. And I've been dragged off to some...Earth, medieval asylum. [He shivers.]

I haven't been letting myself sleep. Or at least, not for long.

[He tries not to roll his eyes.]

...Neither do I. Every night, I see the war again. There I am. Inescapable.

[A tentative hand reaches out to wrap across the Master's shoulders. He would go for the one closest to them, but they're sitting a little too close together for him to reach it properly.]

Come with me and help me end this.

We will. Oh, we will. [He tenses a bit when the Doctor puts an arm around him, but slowly relaxes into it, leaning in somewhat.] Once this "event" is over and we can think, we'll plan a way to infiltrate that damn city and take them out. I need to gather all the pertinent information first.

[It's...weird. Really strange, to have an arm around the Master, but he doesn't seem to mind much and, well, he was the one who initiated it, so he doesn't move it.]

I've been trying to find out what I can. So far all I've got is that they have a city and that people have already tried to get in. And apparently some of the Animus are supportive of us? I'm not so sure about that one.

No different than what we're going through. I'm literally being forced to sleep every night, no different than a human, no matter how I try to keep myself awake.
