- CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Pietro Django Maximoff
CODENAME: Quicksilver (used in XIverse)
SERIES/SOURCE: X-Men: Evolution
AGE: 16
GENDER: Male
ROLE: magnificent bastard Former teenage terrorist-turned-mutant high school student.

BACKGROUND: For my own reference: Pietro is 16 in 2009. He was thirteen in 2006 when the Brotherhood disband. He was born in '93.

Pietro and his twin sister, Wanda, were born in RandomGenericEuropeanCountrystan (We shall call it Transia, for short) to horrible ethnic stereotype called Magda and (unbeknown to Pietro) the mutant known as Magneto. When Pietro was six years old he was separated from his mother and sister and brought to America by Erik Lensherr, only to be promptly dumped into the care of foster parents (the Maximoffs.) When he was twelve (in '05) Pietro first manifested his mutant powers and was collected by Magneto in order to serve in his Brotherhood.

When Magneto "died" in '06 no one took much notice of the fourteen-year-old speedster, and so Pietro found himself at loose ends. He attempted to find Wanda, with little success, and finally tried to join the Avengers. Captain America would have none of that, of course, and directed Pietro to Xavier's School. Now that Magneto's back in play Pietro is worried about his own skin and has decided to actually enroll. He comes equipped with a criminal record longer than he is and a serious attitude problem.

PERSONALITY: Cocky asshole. No, really: Pietro is faster than you. He's probably smarter than you are, too, and (let's face it) way better looking. He may have good points, but they're buried way down. Way, way down. And he certainly doesn't want you to see them.

Essentially Pietro is moving far faster than the world around him and it annoys him. A lot. He thinks everyone should be thinking and moving as fast as him; as his 616 counterpart once put it, it's like standing behind an idiot who doesn't know how to use an ATM -- but for your entire life. As a result he's easily frustrated, easily bored and very, very pissy.

He's very cocky and puts on a great show, but deep down he's something of a coward (especially when it comes to his father or Mystique). His loyalty is ever-shifting and generally defined by 'what is best for Pietro at this very moment.' He will lie constantly and betray others whenever it is convenient -- even those he supposedly cares about -- and especially the moment his father calls. He will, once in a great while, go out of his way to be heroic but don't be fooled: really this is to score chicks. Which he likes. Because he is very heterosexual.

He secretly craves the approval and affection of his father, but shows no outward signs except his ready obedience. Should Magneto pay him the slightest bit of positive attention he may well pack his bags and make a run for the Brotherhood's sub. Despite his desire for his father's affection, however, his feelings on the man are mixed with loathing.

APPEARANCE: Pale Caucasian, runner's build, average height, bright white hair that defies gravity and several other laws of physics, blue eyes.
POWERS: Super speed

ANYTHING ELSE?: It was ~only a dream~; actually I'd like a full retcon although there may or may not be a backstory involving Skrull Loki resetting the universe. Also separation from Wanda is of course totally retconnable in the case of us actually y'know getting a new Wanda.

- RP SAMPLES
First-person sample:
Heh. Is this all this school's got? I mean, I thought mutants would be a little less lame than the humans at Bayville High but I guess not. Maybe it's all the X-geek rubbing off on you; you just can't help but be stupid goody-two-shoes do-gooders. At least it's looking a bit better than the last time I saw it. Then again, heh, it would be pretty hard for it not to, right?

I'm Pietro. Quicksilver. You might have heard of me. I was here the last time this place got totally trashed and the Brotherhood pwned the X-Men, before they both gave up like big babies. Fair warning: I'll be running this school within the week.

Third-person sample:
Pietro was crashing at a homeless shelter when he heard it. The TV sat in a corner, dusty and mostly ignored with a dial stuck on FOX. He generally paid it no attention when he slummed around this place, but something caught his attention ever-shifting attention and he looked up to see a mutant clad in reds and purples.

He didn't bother concealing his speed as he moved from one side of the room to the other; once he got there he shoved the bum in front of the television out of the way and took up the single battered armchair to watch. The details of the conference didn't really matter to Pietro. He didn't give a shit what laws they passed, since he didn't follow them anyway. What did matter was that the man on the screen was his father.

The last time he'd seen the man he was... well, Pietro had thought he was dead. He'd lived his life as though the specter of his father would never swoop in again to interfere with his choices as he had so many times in Pietro's life. He realized now that he should never have discounted that possibility.

"Fuck," he whispered. "I am so screwed."
