sometimes its good not to envision your life in the future, that way if it doesn't work out, you won't be disappointed or feel like you're missing something...?
in all seriousness, recently i've been feeling pretty "depressed" or to be more accurate: sad or mopey. i pretty much have the pessimistic mentality of : "why bother because it's probably not going to even happen.." and "why is life worth living? why should i even continue living." okay, i dont know if this is relevant to your question, but maybe it will help answer it...? well, i talked to my dad yesterday night and i was pretty much expressing my depression on the matter of growing up and trying so hard and the possibility of not achieving it in the end. I've been feeling pretty hopeless and lost recently, so i suppose i was reaching out to someone with hopes of finding answers.
my dad answered me with, "jenny, sometimes it's best if you just deal with one day at a time and not look too deep into the future. this is what you think and feel now, but you don't know how you'll feel tomorrow. if you have hope for tomorrow, then today is worth living."
so i suppose that one must continue treading on despite the mentality and disappointments that we carry with ourselves. we honestly don't know when that better day will come. we can't believe that our hopes are false hopes because without hope, then life will be incredibly hard to enjoy. we also we don't know what great things are already taking course in our lives.
ps: we'll talk about this in person. by the way, i missed you on friday <3
