First Day
My first day back in Orlando has been fantastic. Mom and Jeanne (Courtney Carnotaurus' mom) met me at the airport. After dropping Jeanne off at home, Mom and I went home. I gave Joey a call to let him know I was home safe and then went to bed in Jessica's room (formerly mine).
I woke up around 8:30 and felt great. Even being in Jessica's room felt great. I talked with Dad and Rachel before they left, because Dad rides with Rachel so she can drive to teach a Police course of some sort at City Hall. William mentioned going to Bally's Total Fitness for a work out course, and I said I'd go since I could go as a Guest for free. The workork was amaizing, so exhilerating! The class William was goign to go to started early, so we didn't go in. Instead, we did our own routine. We were on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Every other machine we went to we did a 'set of 50 reps' as William says. For one of the machines, I was almost crying by 13, but I made it to 50. Hah! We were there for about 2 hours, 2 beautiful hours. I feel like I accomplished something, and I did!
We came home and I made a sandwich for lunch and William and I watched a bit of Shark Week. Let me say, Sharks are fascinating. When I finished eating, William and I started cleaning out the Garage. Steve Luke, a recently rekindled friendship of my Mom's, has rented a UHAUL truck for us. My Mom needed a lot of encouragement for such a task as emptying out the garage for me. I thank Steve a lot for his hard work in 'pestering' my Mom. Mom went to UHAUL to rent out a 5x10 and Steve showed up about the same time she did. The four of us emptied the garage and loaded the truck with all the big stuff.
I reminded my Mom about needing more contacts, so she called and scheduled an appointment for me. I figured I might as well remind her that I needed a Dentist appointment, so she called Dr. Boers' office, and they actually had an opening 40 minutes later, so I took that. The Dentist who cleaned my teeth happened to have also cleaned my Dad's, and so she talked about how great and funny he was. I like that. I do, however, have no cavities, but I have to remember to floss -everyday-, which is the same thing my dentists and orthodontist have been saying since I got braces. I'm horrible with flossing, but I won't be anymore.
I came back home about an hour later and the UHAUL truck along with Steve, Mom, William, and Rachel were no longer there. I waited about an hour and gave my Mom a call and it turned out UHAUL called and asked for the truck back 4 hours early. It's fine, though, because they emptied out all the big stuff, so everything else can be taking to the 5x10 in the other cars. Hallelujah! I talked with my Dad for a bit and then Mom came home and we all went out to eat and since we went in seperate car, I rode with Mom and found out what really happened to Kyle Campbell.... Tijuana Flats was the restaurant of choice. It's so strange eating 'Mexican' food at an American restaurant. It makes me miss Cabana d'Franko back in Omaha, which is the restaurant Daniella works at. Mom left dinner early for a Circle meeting and then for Piano practice with Anna, since I left she took my spot.
The rest of us went home and then I took Rachel out to Savers. I bought a few items, two being for Joey. Mainly I wanted to look at furniture for the Garage. Savers is terribly expensive compared to the Thrift Worlds in Omaha that I'm used to, so I didn't buy much. I wanted to see if the thirft store off 436 and University was cheaper, so Rachel and I drove out there, but got lost so many time between Forsythe, 50, Semoran, Goldenrod and University that I decided God didn't want us to go tonight. On the way back home, Tiffany called and we talked about Kyle and what happened to him. She might be stopping by tomorrow.
Mom came home a little after Rachel and I did and it turns out Mom wants to buy me stuff for the garage. Perfect! I love my Mom!
Now, I'm up and trying to think of a Username for the new Livejournal I'm going to make in light of the new leg of my journey of Life that's beginning today. I'm so amazed at the grace and mercy God bestows upon me. I love Him.
