everyone's personalities was captured perfectly. ryoma and fuji in particular seemed to be very much in character. but i especially loved your depiction of tezuka and his inner conflict. he's a tough character to get inside the head of but you seemed to manage it so easily. ^_^
Tezuka's so hard to write :)) I don't think I'll ever attempt it at this length again, he's kind of exhausting. I am glad you think it worked though, thankyou. :X

You do make sense. I think Tezuka usually will end up choosing his responsibilities too, but at the moment in his life his strongest responsibility is to his own future - he is no longer captain of the team, etc. So for the first time in his life he can kind of just choose what is right for him. Which seems to terrify him.
Fuji is a lot of fun to write, I had to throw away a lot of Fuji lines I would have loved to include just because they didn't fit the timing / mood of the rest of the fic.

Oh my God. I loved this so much, Starla. You've really captured the TezuRyo dynamic. I love the... uh, how do I say this? I love the uplifting vibe of this fic. I read so much PoT fic, and for such a hilarious, cracked out show, there is so much angst. I love angst, I do. But I love seeing Ryoma and his Buchou happy even more. I want to believe that they'll have a happy ending. XD *lifts can of Ponta and salutes you*

You've perfectly captured the principled frustration and organized chaos that is Tezuka's desire for Ryoma. You've perfectly translated Ryoma's utter surety and domination on the court to his relationship with Tezuka. Your Fuji... oh, wow. I never respected him more than when he respected Ryoma's heart's desire.
I'm utterly entranced by your style, by the way you create tension and release it like the drawing of breath, in your words. I'm left with an intense and satisfying ache in me after reading this, which is a state few writers can put me in with such surgical skill.
