this was indeed so tragic. i've always considered ted a tragic character, more that being simply pathetic, and you've portraited that so wonderfully here.

i love the parts about his youth and the fact that he was such a latebloomer.
and then this: Ted thinks that with Justin by his side, maybe he too could learn to be unafraid., which broke my heart a bit, because Teddy believes that he cannot achieve anything without anyone. poor guy has such a inferiority complex

and i really loved how you ended it: he knows that he has no chance with justin, everyone has told him that, Justin has told him that, his mind is telling him that, but he still can't help how he feels. my heart aches for him

I got all excited about getting to write a UC pairing. Writing them is fun. You get to do pretty much whatever you want, and the other characters are always all freaked out about it.

Writing Ted is so much harder than I thought it would be! I've never really written him extensively before. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad you think it was successful. <3
