QuizFarm.com i am dying for a vacation. i've been working nonstop since saturday night (had a paper due monday and completely forgot to reply to Heather and a) tell her that b) reply in general and rsvp sorrysorrysorry). almost done. allllllllmost done. ooh a little birdy landed on my window screen...uh...anyway, i really want to be at the ocean right now. i love summer in wisconsin, i always have, but i want a break from things. i want to go out and have fun and commune with nature and such (yes i'm weird like that). i can't wait until sam gets a little older and i can spend some time with him outside and take him to parks.
the other day i went to visit and i got to be the first babysitter for the first time kris and carie left the house without Sam ;) heh, it was a special moment spent kissing him and telling him how i'll always be there for him no matter what decisions he chooses to make in life. sap much?
i envy ppl my age being married. it's a strange juxtapose...marriage or a career. it's not that you can't be married and have a career or have a career and then marry but it's so weird....i'm working on my career and others have already chosen their lot in life. they've already defined themselves and despite what hardships come (God forbid) they know that they're a family and they can handle anything by being supported by each other. while i and other ppl are still trying to trudge our way through the shit to claim our lot and to secure security, literally. i guess it sounds chauvinist, but sometimes it feels that having a family is easier; you don't have to worry about what you should do or who you should be or who you can depend on (again God forbid you have a rocky marriage or anything)...you already have several identities to choose from and a security i won't necessarily find right out of school.
don't you hate it when the other side looks greener? damn fertilizer.
