I am too poor to be addicted to seedless Clementine tangerines. So I am trying to branch out. Today I brought with me to work a Texas Organic Tangerine from Wheatsville:
rating: 3/5
seeds: seedless! A great surprise!
comments: Good firmness and color. Definitely fresh. A good skin, easy to peel! Once I peeled it I noticed that it was a pretty good sized tangerine. The sections of the fruit separated easily. However the segments were hard to eat. The "skin" (?) surrounding each segment was kinda hard on the edge. It was hard to chew. Basically I ended up just biting off the soft end and then sucking out the fruit. And GEEZE it was tangy. I tried like 4 more sections, thinking I could tough up and take the tang. However it was not to be. Each time I tried to eat one, my face made the most ridiculous reaction ever, known as my sour face. Thank God no one is around to see this.
Except that lobbyist that just walked in on me, barefoot, updating my lj, listening to the "Gay Club Mix" on Yahoo! launchcast radio.
Damn.
So. Three stars. Technically the tangerine was inedible. But I liked that it didn't have seeds!
