I've been
furiously downloading holiday music, and I plan to flood you all with so much you hate me more then you already do.
First up: A Motown Christmas Carol (part 1)
Smokey Robinson and the Miracles - Jingle Bells: Could you imagine a more perfect song to add that lilting tone that Smokey lends to everything he does? Never have I heard Jingle Bells sound so... sexy. The rockin' Motown beat makes this a real little gem.
The Temptations - Little Drummer Boy: I was tempted to download every version of Little Drummer Boy, because it's my favorite Christmas classic ever. This one is stand-up awesome. Perfect harmony, with that lovely deep bass rolling along.
Jackson 5 - I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus: If you haven't heard this version, then you clearly live in a cave. It's nice to imagine Michael singing this, and I can't picture any other singer performing it so convincingly.
