Just that I "don't get" your taste in rap. Thinking about it now, the choice words I had were just scapgoating you for what seems like a larger lack of appreciation for the lyrical aspect of rap in s_r that mirrors the mainstream in a way that I find disappointing/unsettling/frustrating. Shouldn't even be a surprise by now. I also feel like the revival of the game has largely failed to bring any more discussion than we were already enjoying here. You and a few others are particularly fond of the "Subject line: My answer. Body: nothing to explicate in a way that suggests that explication in this instance is below me." I've been guilty of it too. Sometimes there's nothing to say that hasn't been said. Eh. There's nothing to do about it. Its not like its a deviance from the norm, it is the norm. Its not even a decline because it was never any better. Whatever. I don't give a fuck. So you can remove your hand from the holster, internet cowboy. I ain't got fightin words today.

Maybe it's because you're a know-it-all douchebag who, supposedly in the name of "discussing" simply rag on musicians people like. For someone who likes to act you're the god of rap and music in general, if I remember correctly you didn't even know half of the musicians in my 10 when I reapplied.

People like you are one of the main reasons why I no longer participate in this community.

Seriously? I'd love for you to show me some places where I do that beyond apps. Who the fuck isn't guilty of that on apps? And I'm not the god of rap music but I think that over the years I've acquired pretty good taste in it. A bit of a purist. A bit NY centric. But still, I think a few people will vouch for me here. So fucking what I didn't know musicians on your Top 10? You want me to list 10 artists I know that you don't know? The fuck does that prove? This is the kind of obscurity for obscurity's sake bullshit that I can't stand. I feel like I've always made an effort to be cordial and fair to all members of this community. Especially you.

I'm curious as to who else is on your shitlist in this community. While we're doing drama shit, why don't you come out with it?

Every single time you get into a conversation I notice about rap, it's to tell someone you can't understand why that person would think so and so is a good rapper. Get off your high horse. Maybe you're smelling your jock strap a little too often, I don't fucking know. My point was simply that you seem to like to act you know everything about everything, but you don't know as much as you'd like everyone to think you know. I'm not into obscure. I'm not into totally unknown psych artists like Charlie is. I love blues, pop and rap. That is largely what I listen to. None of it is hard to find. If you're not familiar with it, I'm not saying you're inferior, but maybe you shouldn't get into people's faces about their taste.

Why the fuck do you care who I do and don't like? It's not like I'm a moderator and I'm going to ban you. Get a life, douchenozzle.

For conversation's sake. Not to assert myself. It's only when I get ignored and shrugged off that I lose respect for someone. "I like them because I do". Check trev's app. I hated a bunch of shit on his app and he responded to me with a good attidue and came on this rap game shit swinging. One of my favorite members here because if asked he will explicate his choices and not get bent out of shape about a little disagreement. I think I pretty much always respectfully disagree with people whom I respect when it comes to matters of taste. I think lucidjesus had a pertinent comment in that other thread. I don't "get into people's faces". Not my style ( ... )

The problem with that is the fact that I actually respect Rob's opinions kumquatpie November 5 2006, 19:46:03 UTC
Oh please. You've gotten into my face about some rap before when I was having a perfectly civil conversation. It's shit like that which gets me annoyed. Before then I pretty much felt indifferent towards you. I am not bent out of shape, I just don't see the point in pretending to care about your opinion when I couldn't care less.

You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. But really, I don't feel the need to explain or justify myself to you.
