Dude. Can't help but wonder about the publicity some things get. That WTC (which I keep typoing WTF) bombing four years ago, the tsunami last winter and now that hurricane. They're not nice things, but DUDE. The 'net bursts with hurricane relief ads and we had a silent moment for that bombing. And the year after that, too.
I mean... geesh. If the suicide attack hadn't been in the U.S... I kind of wonder how much publicity it would have gotten, then. Nice little dictators torture people to death and no one's making a scene out of that. And that tsunami. Had there been only the locals instead of the locals and western tourists... I have the feeling there wouldn't have been as much relief aid sent there, for some funny reason.
WTC, tsunami and Katrina were all bad and caused a lot of pain and misery. Yet, a lot of as bad things (or even worse) happen in poorer countries and no one makes a scene out of them.
...well, that's the way the world goes, I guess. Even though it sucks.
