Ok, maybe "mansions" is too strong a word. But at $200+ per house, they are costly like mansions. We started building the first one yesterday, and I chose Harley and Parker as first recipients because their houses weren't in good shape and neither were their tarps. Plus, they're easygoing with people in their pen, so I thought it would help for us to be doing the first one to have calm dogs around.
It took longer than we thought, so we just got the posts in, got the roof support up, the back wall done, and the roof in place. We even remembered to leave a vent at the top of the back to let heat out in summer. We'll finish the rest as soon as we can, but for right now, they have a real roof over their heads, and they can still use their dog houses till we finish.
