...It seems as if everyone's been suddenly brainwashed-and there have been a few other changes I've noticed as well. The Dreamberry for instance. Has anyone else noticed that some of its functions are missing?

[though no one could see it, it's obvious that Kid is quite disconcerted by the sudden change in everyone. Kid was probably one of the few ( Read more... )

Ah, I know! I didn't really mind when the clothes started changing and whatnot. I mean, it just looked like some big cosplay convention but... this is just too much.

Cosplay...? [just shakes his head.]

Regardless, I completely agree with you. I can only hope that this is indeed just a temporary situation.

[Sorry about that. Jesus is just a huge weeabo when he wants to.]

Same here. As much as I like watching other cultures and things like that, being forced into some random decade isn't very nice.

Do you have any idea why some people are unaffected? Like, you and me?

[no need for apologies~ Kid just finds it a little strange.]

Honestly, I have no idea. Judging from those I've spoken with so far-[Jesus included-not that he knows he's talking to him.]-I'm starting to believe it's completely random chance.

I see...

[So his first assumption of both him and the unicorn not being affected because they are both 'special', wasn't valid.]

I don't suppose there's a way to reverse that, right? I mean, something that we can do about it. It would be a big mess if everyone decided to stay like that from now on.

[Jesus was starting to get worried. Him, of all people.]

If there is, we'd have to find it. However, I have been told that these sorts of things happen frequently, and that it should wear off eventually.

That's really aggravating...

[To just sit and hope for things to get better seems really ineffectual but... If that was the way that world moved, so Jesus probably would have to learn how to get used to that.]

I just hope there aren't any misunderstandings during this whole thing.

[he's of the same opinion.]

I hope misunderstandings are the only thing we have to worry about. I'm not sure how far this insanity has gone, really.

Yes.

To be honest, I'm even a little bit afraid of leaving my apartment.

[When Jesus, of all people, don't want to go out, you know something is terribly wrong.]

I mean, I've been listening to gunshots a lot lately. This can't be a good thing.

Gunshots? [pause. and he just recently learned that mafia groups were indeed here now.] Where do you live?

I, live on the Residential District. I'm on the lowest floor of the Rivera Apartments so I can hear pretty much everything that goes on the street.

[The reason why Jesus chose to be so close to the ground floor was to remind himself of home, where the apartment he shared with Buddha wasn't very high. Now he's having second thoughts about that.]

...I would have thought that district to be the safest. I can't guarantee anything, but the Shopping District seems okay for the most part.

But if you ever feel threatened or in danger, do not hesitate to ask for help. I would be more than willing to assist in any way possible.

If it's any consolation, it's not an usual event you see. I hear things here and there, but, yeah... It's not something that's happening everyday.

But I guess I'll be OK as long as I stay indoors.

[Even though he's running short on food lately...]
