Well today was my first day of work at Eckerd...oi humbug what a day. Today i was on the cash register, i could not have picked a WORSE day to start. ok let me tell you, it's the day before valentine's day, and i have never seen so many boxes of candy and cards in my life. I know now exactly how much a halmark card costs ($4.25) and a large box of russel Stover's candy is 12.50.
let me give you a rundown of all the CRAZY people i came in contact with today.
- the guy who bought 12 boxes of condoms. 12 DIFFERENT kinds, then he bought a rose and walked out. gee.. wonder what he's doin tonight.
-the crazy old man who yelled at me for carding him for a pack of smokes. (i know its stupid but i have to card EVERYBODY apparently there are some youngsters who pose as geezers to get cigs lol.
-the crazy old lady who bought 400 dollars worth of shit and then came to my counter... i was the only one at the register. there were like 7 people behind her.. and they had to wait a while.... and she took up ALL my bags.
-the dude who was seriously paranoid over whether his 49$ bottle of draco noir was a spray bottle... he went outside, opened it and then brought it back.
-the cute guy who flirted with me... well he werent crazy... just a little blind is all.
See what i went through. if this is just the day B4 vday, imagine what tomorrows gonna be like!
